Výstava představuje spletitý metaforický prostor umělecké dvojice Postcompost a je zaměřena na témata izolace, vzájemného dialogu či sdílení bytu, která jsou v současné situaci velmi aktuální. Pracuje s nimi ovšem s určitou mírou nadsázky, ironie a hravosti. Přenáší je do instalace, objektů i koláží, sestavených z kreseb a fotografií.

Výchozím momentem výstavy se stala vzájemná tvůrčí polemika nad filmem Alfreda Hitchcocka Okno do dvora z roku 1954, v němž hlavní postava, odkázaná k domácímu léčení, sleduje z dlouhé chvíle obyvatele protějších bytů. Výstava je tak volnou parafrází na stav plošné karantény uplynulých měsíců, nutnost izolace a pohybu v omezeném prostoru. Nechává diváka dešifrovat pečlivě cizelovaný soubor fragmentů, které jsou z pohledu autorů nahlíženy prizmatem okolností společného života partnerů, společného sdílení a nad to opakujícího se stěhování a zabydlování. Odkazují tak k nuancím a momentům, kdy se dva duševní i fyzické světy spojují v jednom společně obývaném prostoru. Do výstavy se tak dostávají témata společného partnerství, argumentace, pozorování a sžívání se s novým prostředím.

Pod názvem Postcompost společně pracují a vystavují umělci Adéla Waldhauserová a Jiří Pitrmuc. Jejich zájem je soustředěn především na témata vzájemného dialogu a argumentace v souvislosti s otázkami, jež se týkají života v současné společnosti.

Adéla Waldhauserová (*1990) je absolventkou ateliéru Aplikované a reklamní fotografie na Fakultě umění a designu Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem pod vedením prof. Miroslava Vojtěchovského a magisterského studia v ateliéru Performance Jiřího Kovandy.

Jiří Pitrmuc (*1993) studoval v ateliéru Performance Jiřího Kovandy na Fakultě umění a designu Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem, kterou absolvoval roku 2017. V současnosti, v navazujícím magisterském stupni na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze, dokončuje ateliér Intermédia II, který vede Pavla Sceranková a Dušan Zahoranský.

The exhibition presents the elaborate metaphorical space of the artistic duo Postcompost and focuses on the themes of isolation, mutual dialogue or apartment sharing, which are very current in the current situation. However, he works with them with a certain degree of exaggeration, irony and playfulness. He transfers them to the installation, objects and collages, composed of drawings and photographs.

The starting point of the exhibition was the mutual creative controversy over Alfred Hitchcock’s film A Window to the Court from 1954, in which the main character, who relied on home treatment, watches the inhabitants of the opposite apartments for a long time. The exhibition is thus a free paraphrase of the state of surface quarantine of recent months, the need for isolation and movement in a limited space. It lets the viewer decipher a carefully chiseled set of fragments, which from the authors ‚point of view are viewed through the prism of the circumstances of the partners‘ common life, common sharing and, above all, repeated migration and settlement. They thus refer to the nuances and moments when two mental and physical worlds merge into one co-inhabited space. The themes of common partnership, argumentation, observation and getting used to the new environment thus enter the exhibition.
Artists Adéla Waldhauserová and Jiří Pitrmuc work and exhibit together under the name Postcompost. Their interest is mainly focused on the topics of mutual dialogue and argumentation in connection with issues related to life in today’s society.

Adéla Waldhauserová (* 1990) is a graduate of the Studio of Applied and Advertising Photography at the Faculty of Art and Design of the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem under the guidance of prof. Miroslav Vojtěchovský and a master’s degree in the Performance Studio of Jiří Kovanda.

Jiří Pitrmuc (* 1993) studied in the Jiří Kovanda Performance Studio at the Faculty of Art and Design of the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, where he graduated in 2017. He is currently completing the Intermedia II Studio at the Academy for Fine Arts. led by Pavla Sceranková and Dušan Zahoranský.
